In Love with an Angel

There I was standing in awe and total insecurity,
Words can't describe the brightness of that city,
It was like the sun was brought down with all its intensity.
White was the only thing I saw all around me,
I didn't know when and how I fell to my knee,
And bowed my head to the earth.
I remained there, with my eyes tightly closed,
Reacting to brightness the blinding light had imposed,
That not even the darkest sunshades could suppress,
I honestly didn't know where I was, I could only take a guess.
This unexplainable view only reminded me of one place... Heaven!
Since I was already in the right position, I started to pray,
That the Lord should guide me, so I don't go astray.
Then suddenly, I heard a voice say onto me,
That as I have decreed, so shall it be,
He said, "Fear not, arise and see"


As I opened my eyes gradually, like one awoken from the dead,
And took my time as I slowly lifted up my head,
I saw a pair of foot, and made my way up slowly, to the head.
Behold, it was a beautiful creature standing before me,
I said to myself that she was an Angel, until I thought...
"Wait a minute, where are the wings?"
Then I summoned the courage to look at her beautiful face,
There she stood with love in her eyes, smiling back at me.
Then I boldly proclaimed... "This is Heaven",
And that "although she had no wings, she's still an Angel".
"She is the physical confirmation of my answered prayers".
But... dang! My Angel was so charming.
I was already falling in love with an Angel.
As I drew closer to her to give her a hug,
My phone rang and I woke up.
Oh Snap! I have only been dreaming all along.
