The Pen and the Writer

As I hold my pen in my hand,
It paints a picture of the position I stand.
It reminds me that man was made from the sand,
And only given the privilege to dominate the land.

God created everyone for a special reason,
And gave us all we need to bear fruits in season.
God has made each person for a purpose,
A purpose that no one but him knows.

Just like a pen in the hands of a writer,
So are we, in the eyes of the father.
As the writer uses his pen to write his story,
Likewise, God needs to use us for his glory.

The writer needs his pen to express his wisdom,
And the father needs us to expand his kingdom.
Just like the pen can't write anything all alone,
We also can't fulfil our purpose on our own.

We are an emblem of his grace,
We are made to show forth his praise.
We can't afford to fail him and be a disgrace,
We have to stand up and take our rightful place.

This is my sincere prayer,
To be a useful instrument in the hands of the Maker,
There are different kinds of vessels in a great house,
But I wanna be a vessel unto honour in God's house.

Say this little prayer from your heart,
Tell him, Lord I give you all my heart.
If you can use anything Lord, you can use me,
Use me so great that the whole world would see.

Always remember that you are his workmanship,
Created in Christ Jesus for good works.
Just like the pen in the writer's hands,
We are nothing but instruments in God's hands.
