What Makes a Man

What makes a man is not the quantity of beer he can take,
It is not the number of rules he can bend or break.
What makes a man is not what he smokes into his head,
Not the amount of women he is able to get into his bed.
What makes a man is not the designer clothing he wears,
Not his ability to hide his emotions and withhold his tears.
What makes a man is not the kind of car he drives,
Not the type of guns he carries around, or his knives.
What makes a man is not the figures on his account at the bank,
Not the job he does, the company he works, or his rank.
What makes a man is not his ability to get angry,
It is not how fierce he can explode with fury.
What makes a man is not the value of the property he possesses,
It is not the tall, built and sexy body he possesses.
These are not what makes a true man.


What makes a man is not what you on the outside,
But rather, the stuff he his made of on the inside.
What makes a man is a good heart,
It’s a quality character that sets him apart.
A good sense of purpose and responsibility,
His will to make the best of every opportunity.
The Spirit that keeps fighting and never gives up,
The self disciple and integrity to get him to the top.
The love and commitment he gives to his family,
The ability to protect and care of his own.
The positive changes he gets to make,
And the position he stands with his maker.
The true test of a man is in the times of crises,
Most importantly it’s his report from his woman.
This is what makes a true man.
